Possible Tokenomics for Wordwalk

I'm exploring options for creating two cryptocurrency tokens for my Wordwalk / spaghettispeller.com game. One would be a utility token (let's call it $WORD) and a governance token (say, $WALK). These might be patterned loosely after the following examples.

1. Uniswap (UNI)

  • Utility: Governance token for Uniswap protocol
  • Governance: Vote on upgrades and treasury allocation
  • Staking: Liquidity providers earn fees (indirect staking)
  • Deflationary: Fee burn mechanisms proposed

Relation to Wordwalk: Governance via $WALK can empower community decisions.

2. MakerDAO (MKR & DAI)

  • Utility: DAI is a stablecoin; MKR for governance
  • Governance: MKR holders manage risk and collateral types
  • Deflationary: MKR is burned with protocol fees

Relation to Wordwalk: Dual-token structure helps with stability and governance.

3. Decred (DCR)

  • Utility: Payment and governance
  • Governance: Hybrid PoW/PoS system
  • Staking: Stake DCR for rewards and voting rights
  • Deflationary: Capped supply and treasury fund

Relation to Wordwalk: Encourages long-term holding and active governance.

4. 0x (ZRX)

  • Utility: Pay trading fees and vote on protocol upgrades
  • Staking: Stake ZRX to earn rewards
  • Governance: Participatory ecosystem

Relation to Wordwalk: Staking and utility combo boosts platform health.

5. VeChain (VET & VTHO)

  • Utility: VET for value transfer, VTHO for gas
  • Governance: VET holders vote on proposals
  • Staking: VET holders passively earn VTHO
  • Deflationary: VTHO burned during transactions

Relation to Wordwalk: Dual-token system helps balance gameplay and operational costs.
